What to Expect from an Online Master’s
Degree in Geology

The online master’s in geology degree focuses on addressing the fundamental questions about geology and Earth Sciences that range from the formation of Earth, evolution through different stages, and how it works today. Generally, the degree can be completed in two years full-time with a thesis or non-thesis track; it is offered in online, offline, and hybrid study modes. Most programs require students to complete a thesis, followed by a successful oral demonstration and its defense.
